The cool roof rating council was created in 1998 to develop accurate and credible methods for evaluating and labeling the solar reflectance and thermal emittance radiative properties of roofing products and to disseminate the information to all interested parties. The crrc simply lists the measured radiative property values on the rated products directory. Decra s line of cool roof colors are certified by the cool roof rating council crrc to have high solar reflectance and thermal emittance properties that reduce energy costs by lowering roof temperatures. Both properties are measured from 0 to 1.
